God had
a job for a man called Jonah. "Go warn
your enemies in Ninevah. They're headed
for trouble," God said. But Jonah didn't
want to help his enemies. So he escaped on
a ship. |

There
was a terrible storm. "It's my fault,"
Jonah told the frightened sailors. "Throw
me out." When they threw Jonah out, the
storm stopped. |

God
sent a big fish to rescue Jonah. The fish
swallowed Jonah and kept him safe. After
three days and nights, the fish spit Jonah onto
dry land. This time, Jonah ran straight to
Ninevah to do what God told him to do! |
